The opportunity

We break down the natural silos between your functions

Your staff are experts in their own areas. This programme shows them exactly how those functions connect to drive the whole business. In a smaller business nobody has the luxury of a narrow role, yet departments rationalise from separate data sets. Each is right about its own part, and neither owns the whole.

Sales Talks revenue Operations Talks cost Finance Talks margin When every function reads the same P&L the same way, the argument stops being about departments and starts being about the business.
  • 10% off a £3 item with £1 of cost removes 15% of the profit, not 10%. Sales sees a won deal. Finance sees the hole
  • A record sales month leaves the bank balance worse than the month before. Why?
  • Strategic goals are clearly set, yet daily operational decisions lag, leaving open questions as to alignment in the financials

What it is

Three strands. Twenty hours.

A shared focus on the business as a whole.

STRAND 1 · 10 SESSIONS Commercial Literacy How a business makes money, and how the parts connect. STRAND 2 · 4 Strategy How a business wins, and what it trades away. STRAND 3 · 5 AI at Work Using AI on real work, and knowing its limits. SESSION 20 An integrated challenge One live business decision, made and defended out loud.

One business runs through all twenty sessions, so nothing is taught in isolation. By session ten they are reading it end to end. By session twenty they are making a call on it.

What you get back

A team pulling in one direction

FOUR FUNCTIONS, FOUR DIRECTIONS ONE SHARED COMMERCIAL LANGUAGE
In each person
  • Proposals arrive with the numbers carefully assessed
  • Fewer decisions get escalated, because people can size them up themselves
  • AI gets used to save real hours on real work, not to produce confident nonsense
  • Enhancing internal succession planning
Between them
  • One shared commercial language, enabling a reduction in silo mentality
  • Decisions are anchored with the core strategy in mind
  • Your strategy is better understood by the team
  • Cross-function trade-offs get made at their level, not automatically pushed upwards
The measure is not a certificate. It is whether the next budget conversation is a better one.
Practicalities

Structured to build a shared commercial language

Why it works across functions. The programme is deliberately shared. Everyone works the same business, the same numbers and the same vocabulary, whatever their job title.

  • One worked business runs all twenty sessions, so sales, operations, marketing and finance are all looking at one P&L rather than defending their own
  • Mixing the functions and the conversation changes as employees share their rationale to colleagues who are not aware of various nuances
  • By Strand 2 the room is debating strategy using shared evidence. That is the point at which a team starts performing to a shared vision
